Catering for weddings, birthday parties and other functions is not that easy when attempting to feed umpteen amounts of people. Especially at a 21st birthday party where not many party goers will want to sit down for a full three course meal. But a stand up entrée and dessert and a light sit down meal would be beautiful.

If this is the problem everything just got a little easier. Taste.com is a simple social resource to assist and create the perfect menu for the occasion, from entrée’s through to beverages.

With my Sisters 21st birthday party in mind I thought I could help with the catering for the 50+ people attending. Taste.com was an extremely simple site to go on for a difficult task. The structure of the site was brilliant as it has a drag and drop widget which helps create the courses of the meals at the function. It also has a function in which others assisting in the catering can access the menu and propose changes if need be.

I recommend taste.com to any person that is struggling with their function menu, it has thousands of foods to pick from for free.

For the light entrée, I typed into the search engine ‘nibbles’ and several menus arose for nibbles which I chose the most appropriate foods for standing and walking around with finger foods.

For the main menu I requested roast lamb and to my surprise many dishes came up with different seasoned types of lamb. Then I typed in salads and I chose a Thai salad and a potato salad.

For dessert
I chose to search for slices. Countless slices were searched and I chose clean to eat light dessert also.

Beverages, beverages, beverages!! There is even a menu and widget for beverages. Who doesn’t enjoy a tasty cocktail? Cocktails are even on the menu for those classy comers who enjoy a fancy cocktail.

Here, check out my link below to see what I chose for my sister’s birthday menu.
