I'm not very savvy with computers so i tried Yola, which i found a million times simpler than Weebly. This is my first assignment i have started and i feel quite overwhelmed about it. I feel that i need to set an expectation for my tutor and succeed in this assignment to a great extent which will boost my confidence. I'm so excited to be at Uni, i never thought i get here after the year 12 i had. But here i am writing my first blog for my first assignment due in Week 3. After the first workshop i had after last Friday i made some new Friends Hannah, Renee and Doa'a which is great because i will be able to seek help from my peers as they will be able to seek help from me too. I wasnt consciensiously aware of the amout of technology everyone uses as it is in everyday life i dont think about it as often. Until we did an activity in our first workshop were all of the students, mainly first years, introduced themselves and had to tell the class what piece of technology they couldnt live with out. From Ipod to mobile phones to motor cars every body mentioned a piece of technology, mobile phones were a major topic because nearly every body uses them on a daily basis. Now that im aware of this i think about it more often and am consiously aware of the technology that we need in our generation to get on with our lives. In our lecture we were shown different pictures from early school years when there wasnt much technology in a class room til now when we have projecters that connect to computers instead of reading out of books etc. I learned quite a lot last week and am looking forward to this unit..
